Canine Connections offers a holistic approach to bring the relationship between humans and their dogs into balance and harmony.
Through working with Lead Dog Behaviourist David Magnussen, our support team and training dogs we train and rehabilitate your dog. We teach your dog how to self regulate bringing an end to unwanted and unstable behaviour patterns.
We align you with your dog so you can relate to, connect with and lead your dog in the healthiest and most natural way possible.
“As the Founder and Owner of Canine Connections I am dedicated to connecting with and teaching people who prioritize a healthy relationship with their dog. The core of my vision and what I offer through teaching and guidance is to bridge the gap between Canine and Human. To live with our dogs as Nature intended. Dogs are always reflecting their humans energy offering a mirror to see how we are living. They are calling us back to our hearts, to our true nature.”

WE SPECIALIZE IN REHABILITATING:
Red Zone, Aggressive and/or Reactive Dogs
Does your dog show signs of general anxiety and reactivity such as overly timid, unsettled, pacing, jumpy, easily startled, excessive chewing. licking and barking, hiding, over and under activated/aroused, unsure of its environment; especially new situations, people and dogs?
Does your dog show signs of aggression towards other people and/or dogs, wildlife or things that are unknown including growling, snarling, snapping, biting, barking, cold empty staring, tail tucked/ears back/cowering/walking away/hiding?
Has your dog bitten another dog or human. Do you live in anxiety and fear that it may do it again? Do you avoid situations where your dog would have to interact with others?
Our holistic approach is to heal the cause, which is the trauma, while treating the symptoms, which are the behaviours.
Through our assessment we will reveal to you why your dog is aggressive, reactive and/or anxious. We show you the origin and the cause of these trauma patterns. We work directly with your dog to train and rehabilitate it. Along with this you will learn how to support and maintain the rehabilitation process.
You will have ongoing guidance and support through all the ups and downs that may come while rehabilitating your dog and relationship with it.
These dogs have significant trauma patterns which have been conditioned for most of their lives. Therefore it is not an overnight fix. They need us to understand their perspective and what they have been through. But we cannot guide them out of the fear, anxiety, and neurosis that they are stuck in through our human perspective. What you will learn will align you with how they see their world and how to meet them accordingly offering them what they truly need. You will be given a protocol designed specifically for your dog which will show it that the world can be trusted and the unhealthy behaviours are unnecessary.
