Based in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Andrea Wafler is a published and award-winning pet photographer, celebrated for her striking canine portraits. As a 2024 & 2025 International Pet Photographer of the Year Finalist, her work continues to gain recognition for its artistry and impact.
Andrea’s love for photography began with the rugged landscapes of British Columbia, where she found inspiration in waterfalls, mountains, and wildlife. Her focus shifted to her family dogs, combining her passion for nature and her canine companions to create the distinctive style she is known for today.
The journey toward The Good Mutt Photography began with her heart dog, Callie, a Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix who entered her life over eight years ago. Inspired by their adventures and a desire to capture Callie’s spirit, Andrea realized the joy of preserving these memories was shared by pet parents everywhere. This inspired her to pursue dog photography, offering others the chance to celebrate their beloved companions.
Andrea’s signature style, marked by rich colors, dynamic lighting, and her ability to capture dogs in nature, has earned her multiple awards in 2023 and 2024. For Andrea, photography is not just a profession but a privilege, and she remains dedicated to capturing the beauty of dogs in landscapes for years to come.
